Meet the Founder & President Hubert A. Smith Sr. Hubert A. Smith Sr. brings decades of experience across multiple technical and public service professions. Hubert began his career as a teacher before serving as a Public Health Inspector and later served as a Detective Constable conducting covert operations and investigations. He studied Power Engineering specializing in Thermodynamics and worked in petrochemical operations and power generation. Hubert also pursued studies in Electrical Engineering and Electronics Technology and went on to work with the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and the California Independent System Operator (CAISO). Where he retired. Throughout his career, he developed a passion for identifying operational challenges and creating practical solutions. This passion ultimately led to the founding of Guardian Transportation Safety Technologies LLC and the development of a new approach to tanker transportation safety.
